Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Transfer via: by private car and rickshaw

Activities for today: Beijing Hutong

Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. After a short break, we will take rickshaws through the old alleys - Hutong, visit the traditional courtyard dwelling houses and experience the lifestyle of the locals.

Day 2 Beijing

Activities for today: Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven, an important landmark of Beijing City and world heritage site, you can see many locals doing morning exercises there. After lunch, proceed to visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest urban square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the world-famous Forbidden City, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. The grand palaces and courtyards, the unique design as well as the valuable collections attract millions of people to admire.

Day 3 Beijing

Activities for today: Mutianyu Great Wall, Dingling Tomb, Sacred Way

Morning drive to Mutianyu. This section of the Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings. It is a superb location to appreciate the grandness of the Great Wall as well as to avoid the crowds at Badaling. After 1-2 hours hiking on the Mutianyu Great Wall, we’ll transfer to see Dingling Tomb (one of the famous Ming Tombs) and the Sacred Way. Later, take overnight train to Xi'an.

Day 4 Xi'an

Activities for today: Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Xian Ancient City Wall, Muslim Street

Upon arrival, be met to the hotel to have breakfast. After a short rest, we will start our Xian tour from the greatest archeological excavations of the 20th century - Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, it was designated as the world cultural heritage site by UNESCO in 1987. Followed by, pay a visit to the Xian Ancient City Wall. It claims to be the largest ancient city military defensive systems in the world. Later, visit the Muslim Street (Muslim Quarter), where you can find many yummy local snacks and experience the real life of the locals.

Day 5 Xi'an/Guilin

Activities for today: Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell Tower

Today visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. The museum's permanent exhibition primarily displays Shaanxi's ancient history. The collection from the Han through the Tang (618 A.D.-907 A.D.) and Song (960 A.D.-1279 A.D.) dynasties shows the changes of art and craftsmanship. Then continue to see the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower. Transfer to the railway station for the train to Guilin.

Day 6 On the train

A whole day on the train. You can enjoy a scenic journey on the way. Upon arrival in the evening, you are met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 7 Guilin

Transfer via: by private car

Activities for today: Mount Yao, tea plantation, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill

Enjoy guided tour of the Mount Yao (with cable car), the tea plantation at the foot of the hill, Reed Flute Cave, and the symbol of Guilin - Elephant Trunk Hill.

Day 8 Guilin/Yangshuo

Activities for today: Li River Cruise, West Street

Today enjoy a wonderful cruise along the Li River (about 3.5-4.5 hours). The river was once listed as one of the top 10 water wonders in the world. It is flanked by beautiful karst peaks, villages, orchards, and bamboo groves. Lunch on board.

Arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon. Check in your hotel, remainder of the day is at leisure or do some independent exploration of the West Street or the town.

Day 9 Yangshuo/Guilin

Activities for today: biking, bamboo rafting

Have a bike trip along the countryside way to the beautiful Yulong River. Later, enjoy a bamboo rafting on the river.

Day 10 Yangshuo/Longsheng

Transfer via: by private car

Activities for today: Ancient Zhuang Village, Ping'an Zhuang Village

Drive to Gu Zhuang Zhai, an ancient village embraced by rice terraces and the Zhuang ethnic group reside there, then walk about 1.5 hours to Ping'an, another Zhuang ethnic group's village, it is also embraced by awesome beautiful rice terraces.

Day 11 Longsheng/Guilin/Exit

Activities for today: Hiking from Ping'an to Dazhai

Have a walking tour from Ping'an to Dazhai (about 4 hours). On the way, we will visit some traditional Yao people's villages, such as Zhongliu Village, Tiantou Village and Dazhai Village. After sightseeing, drive to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport your flight onward.
