The Longevity Chamber in Beijing Summer Palace

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu, this chamber, along with the courtyard, was built adjacent to Empress Dowager Cixi's sleeping quarters the "Hall of Hapiness and Longevity." Popularly known as "the Chief Courtyard", it served as the living quarters for Li Lianying, chief court eunuch at the end of the Qing Dynasty.
