China Panda Valley
The China Panda Valley is located in Baima Village, Yutang Town, Dujiangyan, about 50 km away from Chengdu. It is the newest transitional training area, providing a safe environment for the endangered bears to develop pandas' survival skills.
The overall planning of Panda Valley is about 1.33 kmĀ², which plans to invest 0.3 billion yuan to the construction. Of which the wild ecological area is about 14,000 square kilometers, which can accommodate 30 to 40 giant pandas, and 50 to 100 red pandas.
The Panda Valley is doing its best to help captive pandas get what they need to survive in the wild. The center has been fully prepared in the construction, farming facilities and equipment, environmental enrichment, diet, staffing and other aspects. The door is metal material mixed 11-meter-high giant panda style building. Now, the first six pandas -- named Xingrong, Xingya, Gongzai, Yingying, Zhizhi and Qiqi - range in age from two to four were chosen on the basis of gender and health have been released here, to develop several survival skills before being released into the wild.
