West Street

Built during the Sui Dynasty (581 – 618) around 590 AD, the West Street is perhaps the most famous tourist attraction of Yangshuo County. It is situated in the center of Yangshuo, about 517 meters long and 8 meters wide, winding its way in an 'S' shape along its length. It is a typical example of a southern China street for its courtyard-setting and marble pavement. The style of buildings is quaint which belong to Ming and Qing Dynasty. You can see the Chinese-style tile, pitched roof and hanging balcony in the West Street.
